Tonight was the 6th annual Aquavino fundraiser at The Georgia Aquarium. The team draws pro-bono at these events, and as usual, knocked it right out of the park. Here are a few pics...

Today was kind of low key at the Aquarium, so it was hard to get into a groove. I enjoyed drawing these three though. They were hilarious and clearly having a very good time.

We actually get asked to do this more often than you'd think, but I always get a kick out of it. This guy asked Keith to draw him proposing to his unsuspecting sweetie...

We had a pretty large crowd and Keith, knowing all too well what a thoughtless lot of blabbermouths the rubberneckers can be, put up a sign asking for everyone's discretion...

The guy was on his knee, ring in hand, two seconds after Keith made his presentation. She said "yes" to thunderous applause!

The gag order has been lifted kids! Now that the Georgia Aquarium's "Dolphin Tales" exhibit is open, I'm finally allowed to talk about "Dolphins on Parade" and Team Artboy's contributions. Here's our first effort, commissioned by TBS...

We owe huge thanks to our friend Brooke Howell. Brooke is a beautiful and insanely talented caricaturist and sculptor. She pointed us in the right direction and hooked us up with Sculpture Depot in Denver, Colorado. They provided invaluable help regarding the best materials to tackle this project with.

Dolphin Tales!

Thursday night, Team Artboy attended the inaugural ceremony of the new 'Dolphin Tales' exhibit at The Georgia Aquarium and it was AWESOME! Here are a few pics...

Obviously a well attended event. I'd have taken more crowd shots but found my spot by the bar far too comforting to leave...

Tonight the team performed pro bono at the 5th Annual Aquavino wine tasting and fundraiser. I gotta tell you, these guys are the best in the business and really knocked it out of the park. Here are a few pics;

Thursday, August 12th, four hyper talented Team Artboy associates entertained the hell out of the crowd at Piedmont Park's new Dog Park! Jeremy Townsend, Chris Neuenshwander, Tony Smith and Dave Washburn drew around a hundred park patrons dogs and delighted everyone. Seriously, these are the most talented guys I know.

Saturday at the Georgia Aquarium was amazingly busy. We ran three chairs and drew steadily all day long. I feel like the Summer season has finally gotten underway. Let's hope so! Here's a shot of one of my black and white drawings from the day;

The Flowertown Festival

I don't usually enjoy doing festivals, but the Flowertown Festival happens to be hosted in my hometown of Summerville, SC. Dave Washburn has been doing caricatures at the fest for many years, and when he learned that it was my old stomping grounds, he invited me to join him. I've gone home to do the fest with Dave for several years now. It's a great excuse to get home to see family and old friends. Here are a couple of pics of Dave and I working...

Christopher and I just got back from the March edition of Dr. Sketchy's Anti Art School - Atlanta Edition. It wasn't quite the insane circus that last month's was, but we had a pretty damn good time. Our model this month was the charming Vagina Jenkins. (there's an interesting turn of phrase) DJ SpinMonkey kept our toes tappin' and The Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy kept us giggling. (I'd never been called a 'pencil pusher' before). Lori and Joe did another damn fine job of keeping us on our artistic toes. I just love this stuff! Here're some pics...

The fabulous photographs on our home and bio pages were taken by Atlanta photographer Patrick Williams. A truly talented guy. In return for those pics, he asked us to create a family portrait for him in the style of one of my favorite artists, Shag. As huge fans of Shag, we really enjoyed doing this.
